[ look, he's never actually seen a whale, okay!!! it's important.

'click' he understands, east he can figure on his MID, so after sending out a message and insuring Alva and Val have a safe path to shore, he's diving in. ]

ok headed to you, don't drown or get eaten

[ because he wants to see that whale that he's assuming you've actually seen. spoilers, andyr, all the whales here are apparently basketball sized or smaller. but either way, it's the first question out of his mouth - ]

Where is it? Where'd you see the whale?

[ Ah, Andyr— you're either going to be severely disappointed or incredibly delighted, Venom has no idea which side of the coin this kid is going to land on.

But once Venom catches a glimpse of that now-familiar figure (not in a vent for once) splashing through the ocean, he puts up a hand as if to say stay still, and points to a spot just a few feet away from the both of them. ]

There's one.

[ Look closely, and Andyr'd be able to see what looks like a very small version of a blue whale. He could literally hug it if he wanted to, it's kind of precious.

Venom hasn't tried to eat it yet, so there's that. ]

[ even a tiny whale is still a whale, and after a moment of squinting at the water, expecting to see some huge mass, he catches on, carefully pacing one or two steps closer, to get a better look. yep, that's a whale. a very, very small whale. ]

Holy crap, seriously?

[ he whispers it, as if talking too loud would scary it away, but it's an excited whisper, andyr rolling a lip between his teeth and chewing at it as he tries to inch closer and closer. most whales don't really spook much, but most whales are freaking huge. ]

It's so small, you could keep one as a pet.

[ The whale seems just as curious about Andyr as Andyr is about the whale, and it starts swimming circles around his legs— almost like a dog.

This is perhaps the most endearing thing Venom's seen all week. ]

There's probably an option to bring it back on base. [ He says, because he's honestly a really bad influence regarding "bringing animals back to your home". His name should actually be Punished "Venom" "Keeps A Zoo In The Middle Of The Ocean" Snake. ]

[ ermahgerd ermahgerd the whale likes him. Venom, the whale likes him. andyr looks gleeful enough he could dance, but it holding very still instead, trying not to scare the creature. ]

You think? I’d need a tank or something. Don’t even know what it eats…

[ maybe he should follow it around for the next several days and observe. Maybe that’s exactly what he’s going to do. Or another one like this, as he’s likely needed for other things in the meantime. ]
