[INFO] OM&M v2: THE BODY HORROR EXTRAVAGANZA

WARNING: GORE, HUMAN EXPERIMENTATION, BODY HORROR, ABUSE (mostly physical/medical, mention of tiny bit sexual), DEHUMANIZATION - however, these are things present in the verse, not stuff Andyr does himself.

THE TL;DR SUMMARY;

WORLD STUFF:
» it's 3451 and humanity sucks
» a gene (the KN gene) that allows for human mutation crops up (is also sort of the savior for the now crippled human genome), the world/the science community/corporations horribly abuse it and the people who possess (KN1s for first generation, KN2s for clones) it no longer have any kind of human rights
» humanity at large basically saps health from them
» human experimentation is a thing, cloning is a thing, lab engineered petri-dish soldiers are the new military, organ farming, other kinds of medical miracles, etc
» body horror, gore, dehumanization, mad science, the future sucks and no one who isn't victim of the sucking cares, the majority of the world is like 'this is fine'. also, a little bit of cannibalism by rich people.
» corporations called Houses basically run the world, snatch KN1s literally off the street for experimentation, engineering, and using to produce clone iterations or to augment into a profitable product. "templates" for cloning are held in detainment within the Houses as valuable corporate materials.
» KNs are not even second class citizens, they simply do not have rights anymore - they're considered property, whether naturally born in society or engineered in the labs. they're treated like live stock.
» basically your life ends when you test positive for the KN gene
» KN1s were born naturally with the gene, KN2s are clones of KN1s spliced together. KN1s are sometimes born in the city and brought into a house, some are born in House and kept there. KN2s are engineered in labs and never allowed to leave the Houses. Andyr and Alva are both KN1s that lived in the city before being captured. Val is an engineered KN1 that was bred/created in House and has not lived outside.
» they have had zero free will since being in the Houses, and Andyr just expects that all people are horrible these days, so if you tell them 'your choice' or 'no one's going to force you' about something, expect to be laughed at or looked at like you're a precious little toddler who knows nothing jon snow

ANDYR STUFF:
» andyr was taken from a nice, normal life, and made into a template for cloning petri-dish soldiers, he mad (cw: needles and blood and stuff in that link)
» andyr wants to murder absolutely everyone, basically, the end
» also, he's mostly just a weapon these days, a really pissy weapon, who is legitimately committed to making everyone else's days as annoying as possible, legitimately his new life goal. mostly sort of wanted to become more of a wraith than anything else, bc he saw no purpose in him trying to live an actual life like this. it's less what hapsburg made him and more what andyr made himself
» his twin sister is an asshole (who shot his dad), he wants to kill her too
» auto-dislikes any clones and any scientists and also pretty much anyone who seems excessively nice to him (y u always lyin???)
» he's rude, im sorry. and tends to be vocal both about his disdain for people around him, as well as the fucked up things going on in his world (when he is in his world, that is), as people tend to just shrug all of it off. given the sort of things happening to him are regarded as simply common place and acceptable. like if you're the only sane person in a room of crazies.
» but he likes kids a lot?? they get an auto-pass on any rudeness, he will legitimately drop any gross violence he's doing if a kid wanders into the room. kid being like 12 years and younger.
» LAUGHING BECAUSE CRYING IS FOR PEOPLE WHO STILL HAVE SOULS AND STUFF HAHAHAAHAH
» basically he's the personification of an IAMX song + that one gif of jlaw scream-laughing
» not a fan of drugs/alcohol, or mind altering substances in general. also will shut down most sexual advances that come from people who aren't super close to him, he just gets really uncomfy with it, and uncomfy andyr means rude andyr.
» btw, there are 8 spinal ports down Andyr's back, like metal circles that are usually sealed with a kind of clear gel, drilled into the bone, that are raised about 1/4 of an inch up from his skin, and those are likely visible through any kind of relatively tight fitting clothes he might have on. The first and second ones are usually visible, the first starting at the top of his neck, just under his hair (which is why he likes his hair being shaggier), and the second at the base of his neck. TOUCHING THEM IS A VERY BAD IDEA. He also has weirdly discolored eyes. For all the physical details check here.
» enhancements he has naturally: strength boost, muscle density/resilience, accelerated cellular regeneration/healing basically, extreme pain tolerance. enhancements received through operations: a second strength boost haaa, reflex/speed boost, metal grafted to the inside of his jaw. weird shit: his teeth (the canines top and bottom, and the couple on either side) are definitely a little sharper than they should be. he might have filed them once. alvary might have slapped the file away from him immediately after.

WORLD HISTORY/DEETS

» Year 3401; Humanity had declined. Illness was rampant, the entire human genome was cripple and frail and sickly. Organs were failing early on, the life expectancy had shortened, and modern medicine was struggling to keep up. Humanity simple was not adapting any longer to the future they'd been thrust into.

» The Kerns-Norman Gene; was a gift from Mother Nature, a sort of evolutionary miracle that was in the very, very early stages - biology's attempts at growing and adapting to preserve itself. The KN gene allowed, once activated, for rapid cellular mutation, that produced natural biological enhancements, like strengthened musculature, boosted immune systems, incredible resistance and resilience, making the human body more hardy, and often allowing for some odd off-shoot mutations, simply due to how new to nature it was and how this stage of evolution was in it's infancy. This is what caused the side effects like spreading iris discoloration, and sterility occurring within ten years. However, it's a gene spread through heritage, and would have naturally propagated to the whole of humanity in perhaps a century of time, by which point it likely would've stabilized. It was a biological savior. However, people are assholes.

» How Humanity Fucked Up, Part 1; The Kerns-Norman gene appears in humans, society is wigged out as a whole at this thing that mutates people into super-people - some jealous of their ability to survive effortlessly in a plagued race, others simply disturbed by all that they are, afraid of being pushed into extinction by them, perhaps. Either way, the medical community sees it as a great opportunity to be able to experiment with the human genome extensively, solve a lot of problems and cure a lot of diseases and improve quality of life. It all starts out very humanitarian. KN1s (humans born with the KN gene active in them) are offered handsome incentives to participate in studies and experiments. As the gene is very rare, and much more potent in first generation "Mice" (the mostly derogatory slur (that becomes more official later) assigned to KNs once all the science shit starts up), and not enough of them are just volunteering, so some research companies start to get more sketchy and just kidnap KNs off the streets.

» Advent of "Houses"; Corporations that advanced into success rapidly and all developed their own sort of trademark specialty for genetically engineered Mice. Cloning of humans with the KN gene is perfected, and Houses start to mix up their own petri-dish Mice out of DNA from KN1s, splicing here and there to work in the details they want and work out the ones they don't, producing clones that only live about five years max, referred to as KN2s - second generation clones of first generation KN1s. Augmentations are always a fraction of the original potency that was present in the template (the KN1 they'd been cloned/spliced from).

» Age of Corporate Rule; The KN gene was seized up by corporations and turned into a market on human health. It boosted corporations to power beyond most governments', and given they provided the information that got out to the wider populace, it was easy to control the worldview on the KN gene and those possessing it, to further the monopoly, and strangle hold on the globe.

» Decline of Human Rights; KNs, both first and second generation, become looked down on as social pariahs, then second class citizens, and then property more than people. They're treated much like livestock, stripped of rights and are bound to whatever House either possesses them or engineered them. It's now mostly acceptable for agents from different Houses to abduct KN1s, even if they were previously normal citizens, who had families and jobs and houses, if they test positive for the KN gene. The line is that they're needed to improve society & medicine for the normal people, so no one who still has a vote really cares much. At least, not enough of a majority to make a difference. People who protest in support of KN rights are looked at like people view PETA these days. Some KN1s are put into the general populace of the Mice/products a House creates, kept like chickens or goats or whatever, either sold off to other Houses or to individual buyers, or kept in-house for product development and display, etc.

» Templates; the KN1s that'd been discovered to have more valuable augmentations naturally occurring through active KN genes, and to have a particularly strong strain of the gene, are able to produce the more successful clones/iterations. They survive longer, tend to be more durable, take better to genetic splicing, and adapt better to all the engineering done to them. The KN1s that are sampled from to create iterations are kept in-house as 'quality control', and because material needs to be constantly harvested from them for new iterations. The goal in every House, with every iteration, is to get as close to the maximum potential that is present in the original Template, so it's vital that they don't lose these people. Hence, kept under lock and key and aggressively protected, like the blueprints to their product lines. Houses are known to make deals between each other, to trade material on Templates or loan them for joint ventures, but they're aggressively looked over and monitored to insure other Houses don't take too much from them. Templates are still regularly experimented on, and most all have metal ports installed above their spines to make quick access to the best place to take KN rich genetic material from easy to access - spinal fluid. It's important that too many drugs aren't mixed into the gene slicing and genome manipulation processes, so Templates are often very awake and very aware of things when this goes on. It's really not a fun existence. Ports also provide a more direct means of administering chemicals/drugs when needed, as KN1s tend to have accelerated metabolism, and allows for lab techs to easier hook into and monitor neural responses during work. The ports can have a lot of different uses, depending on the House and purpose of that Template in specific, but it's mostly standard practice currently. The process to install these ports is the first thing done to a new Template, takes at least several days to weeks depending on healing factors, and is utterly agonizing for the Mouse.

» Uses of Mice: initially, it was in terms of pharmaceutical experimentation. The KN gene allowed human bodies to endure more in the way of biological testing, and that made human experimentation something that was... relatively... humanely... possible. With the advent of cloning, and as the decline of the societal regard for Mice as anything near human, with human rights, they gained more and more leniency with this. Now, the list is extensive: pharmaceutical and medical experimentation, organ and tissue farming (for transplants, blood/plasma/marrow donation, skin grafts, both medically necessary as well as cosmetic (people can receive tissue transplants to naturally look younger, without plastic surgery)), genetically engineered soldiers (nations with the best House engineers means they have the best militaries) used for government military as well as personal bodyguards (also very richly invested in by gangs, mafias and sketchy underground ppl), societal elite sees them as status symbols - just possessing a Mouse of a certain level of genetic perfection, occasionally used for sex trade though it's all very low-key (and yet, no one's really fased by it because wow they're not people so who cares), a circle of pseudo-science crazies have also decided that consuming human grown organs (like those from the organ farming Houses) is the ultimate organic remedy for ailments (so hahaha cannibalism). On the more trivial scale - family/house servants (they aren't paid, so it's really more like slaves), genetically engineering children (I don't want my son to have my husband's nose/I want my child to be beautiful/I want my child to be a genius - the House splices in your genetics with the desired additions of KN material, and severs the ability to the KN gene to take in the new fetus so they don't have freaks for babies), genetically engineered wives/boytoys/etc in some areas of the world.

» House Hapsburg + Politics; one of the leading Houses in the globe, specializing in high durability Mice with increased strength and various offensive augmentations. They're largely military/security suppliers, as well as chief providers the popular source of entertainment that is Mouse cage-fights, essentially. Prizefighting for the wealthy, some even televised like it's a Gladiator sort of deal. Also, a means for Houses to show off their new models and pitch them against rival Houses, to prove their model's superiority and all that. On the subject of status symbols, society tends to vary on what they want in a Mouse, and Hapsburg provides the Look How Much Damage/How Much Of A Badass This Thing I Own Is, a lot like how you would want the fastest, most powerful kind of sports car. Hapsburg mice are like The Gun Collection Mice (who needs guns, I have a Hapsburg model). Many Hapsburg Mice are some level of... I don't want to say lobotomized, but made significantly more docile/obedient, as a rebelling Hapsburg Mouse can be a big problem for a lot of people. Others tend to the side of Look How Pretty This Thing I Own Is, and that's provided more by products from House Gloriana, which specializes in the ethereal sort of visual augmentations. It's all basically sports car modification - my Mouse is absurdly expensive, and the features that I paid for are the best in this particular range of taste, which tells you about who I am as a person and what I value. House Báthory specializes in organ farming, House Florens specializes in pharmaceuticals and medical experimentation, as well as memories and mental copy-pasting people into clone bodies, and so on and so forth. These are just some of the top corporations in the business. Houses still tend intermingle in their work often, both to help keep things "legal", as well as keep an eye on what the other business is up to.

» This Is Not The Utopia You're Looking For; political/economical/technological state of the universe;
- Nations more aggressive with national borders, now that Mice are available, as they can afford to be non-diplomatic now
- Gaza is completely uninhabited now, no one lives there anymore but Mice
- KSA/UAE (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates) boundaries are expanded, countries like Jodran all the way to Turkey have an alliance to protect themselves from Middle-East. The US is split into four regions - East Coast, West Coast, Midwest and Alaska. No one wants Alaska, it's mostly a free Mice nation, it's more frozen and unlivable for most humans (considering less resilient genes and all), slightly neglected, cheap to live in. Mice mostly make a very rural living there, eat a lot of organics, etc etc.
- Houses Hapsburg, Gloriana and Báthory are all based in New Orleans, Louisiana - capital of the East Coast territory that was once part of the US.
- Cities are on the over-populated side, with the aesthetic in New Orleans being a mix of post-colonial with hyperfuturistic melded in together. There's a fairly clear class divide, and as you go further towards the low income area, you get more and more of the slums, with people and buildings stacked on top of each other. The low town area is likely more towards the port/docks, where people employed for manual labor there are in residence close to work.

» It is now 3451, the KN gene was discovered in 3401.

ANDYR HISTORY BITS

» Born to Halina & Stefan Prince, with twin sister Jehanne Prince.
» Mother passed from illness before twins were 2, father was elite military, retired to care for children.
» Martial arts family, father led an academy twins trained in. Andyr was very talented and skilled with it, taught kids classes, as he had much more patience for children than he did for adults.
» Kids tested positive for KN gene at 9, father attempted to conceal it, Jehanne abducted from clinic, taken to Hapsburg.
» Father lost it, became obsessed with trying to get Jehanne back, Andyr trained night & day, made plans to infiltrate Hapsburg and take Jehanne back.
» Andyr's KN gene activated at 12, genetics began to augment - strength increased, muscle and bone tissue grew into a much more dense material as he naturally progressed through adolescence, making his skeleton incredibly durable, and granting his body an accelerated healing rate on a cellular level. he'd taken on a manual augmentation for speed/reflex reaction time as well, done through medical operations.
» At 17 (3 months to his 18th bday), Andyr & father went to retrieve Jehanne, got all the way to her undetected, had a perfect escape plan, would have made it, but the Jehanne they found was an iteration, not the original. She shot their father and turned Andyr over to Hapsburg for detainment and processing in as House property.
» Andyr still made to believe Jehanne is the original, simply brainwashed. Still wants to kill the fuck out of her
» Made into a Template - Andyr spent roughly 3 weeks held in Hapsburg labs undergoing agonizing, painful and invasive experimentation, examination and surgery to install the spinal ports. An iteration of a model typically named 'Posie' (this iteration deemed a genetic failure and referred to as 'Rosie' instead) had been there with him for the entire period, and they'd kept each other sane by talking at night, after lab work hours. He'd become very attached to her, and one of his escape attempts actually got him to her side, enough to free her restraints and try to pull her up, but ultimately failed with a strong sedative. Rosie died shortly after. Andyr became the Template for a line of cloned mice, that would be sold mainly for military/security purposes, as well as the status symbol aspects, due to the high rate of survivability, durability/pain tolerance, and tenacity of his iterations. As well as being very pretty (if you don't let them look like a murder hobo, like Andyr does), and that's about the only reason they keep him. Because he makes so much gd money. Otherwise, Andyr's made it is personal mission over the last six years to be the hugest pain in the ass Hapsburg has ever known.
» Immensely defiant, and absurdly hostile - Andyr became incredibly violent, angry and vengeful, lashing out at Hapsburg staff and handlers constantly, occasionally at Mice (especially his own clones), and repeatedly made aggressive escape attempts, basically at every slight chance he's given, because he's obsessively tenacious like that, to varying success (he'd made it outside of the facility into the district several times, but always ended with recapture). If he spots Jehanne on his way out, he'll run straight for her instead and try to kill her (now obsessed with the need to avenge his dad and end the insult to his sister's memory + get revenge for what he's put through as a Mouse). Usually this gives the guards time to show up and tase him. This is why Jehanne is made his primary handler, because he wants to kill her more than he wants to escape. Andyr has realized their logic in this, and doesn't care.
» Completely unwilling to comply or cooperate, but needed as a Template, Andyr is kept in a bedroom cell towards the back of the building (so not just anyone sees him, you sort of have to be exploring or get the tour), that looks like this. The wall that the POV of that picture is from is lined with bulletproof, soundproof glass, mainly to keep the rest of the House safe from him, as he will, and has, gone through the halls making a bloodbath if he gets free. There's also weights and work out equipment and a punching bag in the room, because he likes to train like hell (he's stuck in there usually 18 hours a day, and constantly trains to make sure his iterations never beat him), and the staff figures it's easier to let him wear himself out, and have less pent up energy when they need to take him out, than worry about whatever extra strength/skill he builds up. When he gets in trouble, he's sent to ISO.
» In the times he has actually managed to escape into the districts, before eventually being captured by Jehanne again, he'd met seemingly nice people who offered him shelter, and then ended up turning him in for reward. Since then, he's super paranoid and generally doesn't trust anyone. Kind people in particular set him on edge, and garner immediate suspicion.
» As the KN gene tends to cause hosts to become sterile within 10 years of activation, Andyr had gone sterile at 20 - eight years after his activation.
» Definitely has killed a fair amount of people in the compound, once or twice, he's gotten hold of a gun from a guard and it was b a d.
» The spinal ports on Andyr, in addition to being used for operations, are also used to inject high concentrate adrenaline cocktail into Andyr to punch him into overdrive aggression, in order to make him fight in cage matches, or against iterations (for quality testing, trying to see how close the iterations can get to Andyr in terms of strength/stamina/durability). The first time he was put into a cage match, he'd refused to fight, for the sake of being disappointing and contrary, so this is now normal practice. He isn't, however, put into many cage matches (only the really special ones), considering being a Template makes him valuable property, and they don't want him accidentally dying, or taking on permanent damage. Despite the fact Andyr, being one of the chief Hapsburg lines, doesn't often lose.
» Iterations, while they take on KN traits like strength/durability extremely well, also end up with Andyr's absurd tenacity and determination to rebel, so they occasionally have to scrap iterations if they can't make them docile enough for public use. Some are given cybernetic implants to keep them docile as well.
» The Hapsburg staff, and pretty much any House staff that has to look after him, just hates him, mostly.
» Sex trade abuse, it has happened two or three times. He doesn't want to talk about it. Ever. Don't ask him. And sure as hell don't try to touch him without his permission.
» But someone definitely lost an ear during it
» In general, Andyr becomes the kind of savage that is "using ever tiny thing I have to try to make you dead", and finds that to be the only worthwhile use of himself anymore.
» Befriends Alva (after punching him through a wall once or twice), finds the new iteration of Posie (who accidentally retains all memories from previous iterations, and meets one of his iterations, Mikal (see more info on him below). These are the 3 total people Andyr actually likes.
» At some point, Andyr helps Mikal escape, stays inside Hapsburg himself, because he wants to kill Jehanne, and he doesn't want to leave without Jehanne and Posie (and maybe Val whatever who cares)
» Mikal starts sneaking people out, starting with stronger ones so they could organize a greater effort to get people out and wreck shit (minus Andyr). There's a couple of contingents, one group for getting people out and safely away to live their lives in peace, and another group that is basically LIVE FREE AND DIE HARD and just goes all out in wrecking shit.
» At 6.5 years of being inside, Mikal gets a message to Andyr about a planned raid to hit all 3 Houses in New Orleans at once, and being that Hapsburg is the impenetrable fucking fortress, they have him start it up from the inside, and drop security to let the others in. Andyr informs Alva of it, so he can help on the Gloriana side, Alva informs Val so he can... try and stay safe. And get out. Lol. Andyr isn't aware of that last thing, because he trusts Alva implicitly.
» Hapsburg is hit first, as it's generally the one sending reinforcements to the other Houses. Through probably working with some of the other mice (much as he dislikes the idea), maybe some of his iterations (as much as he REALLY dislikes the idea), they start a riot, and Andyr manages to get through to security and let Resistance forces in.
» Mikal leads Resistance in, meets Andyr somewhere in the middle, they're on their way to Gloriana to get Alva, and THAT'S WHEN THE INGRESS SNATCHES HIM UP, THE END.
» idk he bites

ANDYR PERSONALITY/FACTOID BITS

» Deconstructed as a person - he knows who he was before, and Andyr sees that as something that was stripped from him and taken, not something he can go back to. Now, Andyr views himself as 'blood and bone and revenge and sharp edges'. He feels like he's been screaming into an empty room for six years. "I want to not feel alone. I want to feel like I have a home to go to. I want to wake up smiling and lazy and content, in a room with four walls and a window with shutters pulled, only sunlight peeking through." + "he knows what it is to do this like you mean it, like you matter, and fuck, Andyr just wants to matter again, or at least feel like it." He's been stripped out his agency and his claim to humanity, and the world is completely fine with it, and Andyr just feels hopeless and lost in that. His constant rage and lashing out is his coping mechanism - to feel like there's still something in him that makes him more than a tool.
» " Why can't the world hear? I ask myself. Within a few moments, I ask it many times. Because it doesn't care, I finally answer, and I know I'm right. "
» "But I want to remember - another time. I want to remember living. I want to remember what it was like. To feel, and to love, and to laugh."
» Not the silent kind of traumatized. Andyr wants to slap the world in the face with what's been done to him, like he's trying to shake them awake. While most of him's come to despise humanity for being capable of this, for allowing it to happen and rationalizing it away and being able to ignore it just because it's not happening to them,
» A savage, wild, unhinged kind of hostile. Andyr will continue to struggle and fight until he's completely unable to. Meaning, even if he's all chained up, don't get close to his face if he isn't muzzled, because he will bite your ear right off. This has happened before - ear, lip, pieces of cheek, chunks of arm, fingers. Just don't get near his face.
» Very occasionally, he's soft. Mostly around children. Andyr loved kids, when he still lived with his dad in the district, and had day dreams about having a family of his own, and being a father, and blah blah blah, all of this seems completely invalid and pointless to Andyr now, but he does still have a soft spot for kids. If he's in the middle of a bloodbath, and a little kid wanders by looking scared, he'll drop everything he's doing to comfort them and take them somewhere safe. Thankfully, this doesn't happen much in Hapsburg, as they don't keep kids there - that's Florens. But he will legit sit down and have tea parties with Alva's daughter regardless of whatever else is going on. However, he no longer thinks he's equipped to look after kids or be a parent, due to all that's happened and as much as he's changed.
» Unforgiving, more often than not. If you're complying with what's happening, you're part of the problem, and Andyr hates you for it. There are certain people Andyr makes exceptions for, and they're really only Posie and Alvary. Posie, because he'd seen first hand what torture she went through, and he doesn't blame her for doing the only thing that can keep her safe, seeing as she isn't really equipped to fight either. Besides, she has her only ways of working around the staff, and uses her perceived compliance to get leeway for Andyr. With Alvary, Andyr hated him for a long while, like violently hated him, bit him more than once, punched him through a wall more than once, spat on him more than once, and on the day alva had enough and decided to legit brawl with him, Andyr nearly killed him, was on the floor, on top of him, trying to break his neck or choke him out, and Alva squeezed out "if you kill me, they'll take her" and "i can't die yet". it's enough to show he's protecting someone and enough to make Andyr stop. Later, Alva shows him a picture of his family in Alaska, points out his mom and dad, and then a little girl and just says "and this Marya". Andyr gets the idea this is the 'her' he meant, and that she's some kind of related, and it reminds him a lot of his dad. The person Andyr respected most in his life was his father, for all that he did for him and Jehanne, and seeing that same care in Alva resonated with him. After that, he gradually grew to be grossly attached to the man.
» Dry, sardonic, has an incredibly morbid sense of humor. He'll actually joke about the torture that happens to Mice, but only to other Mice. If a human does it, he'll punch them.
» Well read, because that and training is basically all he does in his cell, but you wouldn't tell it by how he speaks. He's from Low Town and was used to unrefined speech and conversation. Curses every five seconds, says 'wanna' and 'gonna' and all that.
» HE'S PRETTY HYPOCRITICAL SOMETIMES, in terms of judging what is and isn't acceptable. His personal biased takes a big influence on his beliefs on ethics. For instance, he'll say that any Mouse that isn't actively rebelling is as worthless and deserving of punishment as the humans, however, he will absolutely not apply that to Alva and Posie. He never calls himself a Mouse, or very rarely. He'll use human or KN1 for himself. But he'll spit the word derisively at any Mice he doesn't like or disapproves of. He sort of doesn't care how stable or reasonable his set of convictions are, because as far as Andyr sees it, he doesn't have rights anyway, so why should it matter how unobjective he is?
» Alva, Posie and Jehanne are pretty much the only people Andyr will accept touching him in any kind of manner without violent lashing out. Sometimes Valerie, when Andyr's in a good mood. Anyone touching his back, close to his spine, however, will be violently jerked away from and possibly punched. Alva can do it, because it's part of the physicals and Andyr's accepted that he has to check the ports, but he'll always been incredibly tense during it.
» Andyr is basically Tony Jaa and 24/7 ready to throw down
» There is a measure of Stockholm Syndrome that Andyr has in regard to Jehanne, in a very twisted sort of way. He still doesn't skip any opportunity to kill her, but he has projected a lot of his feelings about missing his sister onto her as well. He'll probably cry when she does die. And hate himself for being sad about it.

PEOPLE

» Jehanne/[personal profile] actuated; An iteration of Andyr's twin sister, the main security/handler that follows Andyr around when he's out, given he generally won't leave the building if Jehanne is nearby and he has a chance to kill her. She'd shot their father when they'd come to rescue her, then surrendered Andyr to the Hapsburg staff to be processed as a Template, so sort of has an eternal vendetta against her.
» Alvary/[personal profile] procedures; KN1 Lab tech in Gloriana, working to keep his daughter safe elsewhere. Andyr hated him for a long while, but after a lot of things understood, he's probably the most trusted person Andyr has, and about the only one he won't immediately punch for touching him.
» Posie/[personal profile] mous; Theeee sixth? Iteration? Of a girl named Rose Alvarez, who'd gone through several iterations of hardcore experimentation that came out as a whole lot of torture, one of which was in the Hapsburg labs with Andyr when he'd arrived. The most recent iteration not so intentionally retains memories of all previous iterations, thus remembers him. Andyr's best friend, keeping very quiet about what she knows in order to protect her.
» Mikal/[personal profile] reduplicating; An iteration from Andyr's model line, had an imbalance in mental stability, they'd thought giving him Andyr's memories from his life, up to age 17, would help to stabilize him. On the one side, it did. On the other side, it fed all his dreams of rebellion, gave him the muscle memory for trained combat, and all of Andyr's potential for rage. However, Mikal retains his own personality, and has a much more crafty method of rebellion - has a sharp intelligence and mind for strategy and patience that Andyr never developed. He'd escaped the compound, and taken Andyr with (though Andyr ends up going back in) - comes to lead the resistance against the Houses and then entire KN prejudice out in the districts. It's Mikal's group that raid the Houses and dismantle them, freeing Mice and moving them to safe, KN-run nations like Gaza and Alaska. Resistance notes.
» Valarie/[personal profile] mangled; one of the originally engineered organ farming Mice from House Báthory, needs regular, routine medical maintenance to ensure his organs don't fail and he doesn't die. Andyr is completely grossed out by his existence and general hates him just for what gross freak of a science experiment pet project he is.
